How to Look Up Enterprise Information in Vietnam: Free & Paid Methods

Short answer: There are two ways to look up enterprise information: (1) Free lookup of basic information — enterprise name, enterprise code/tax code, head office address, business lines, legal representative, legal status — on the National Enterprise Registration Portal at dangkykinhdoanh.gov.vn (Article 74 of Decree 168/2025/ND-CP); (2) Request detailed information in writing sent to the state management authority for enterprise registration or the provincial-level Business Registration Authority, subject to fees/charges as prescribed. In addition, the contents of the Certificate of Enterprise Registration and the operating status of enterprises are publicly announced on the National Portal (Clause 1 of Article 33 of the Law on Enterprises 2020).

1. Free lookup on the National Enterprise Registration Portal

Under Article 74 of Decree 168/2025/ND-CP, the following information is provided free of charge on the National Enterprise Registration Portal (dangkykinhdoanh.gov.vn):

• Enterprise name;
• Enterprise code;
• Head office address of the enterprise;
• Business lines;
• Full name of the legal representative;
• Legal status of the enterprise.

• Step 1: Visit the National Enterprise Registration Portal at dangkykinhdoanh.gov.vn;
• Step 2: Select the enterprise search function;
• Step 3: Enter one of the following: enterprise name, enterprise code/tax code, or address;
• Step 4: View the displayed basic information as above.

The National Enterprise Registration Information System is led by the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with relevant agencies, in its development and management (Clause 4 of Article 3 of Decree 168/2025/ND-CP).

2. Requesting detailed information (fee-based)

For information not within the free provision scope above (e.g., history of registration changes, detailed information about owners, members, shareholders, published financial statements, etc.), organizations and individuals in need send a written request to:

• The state management authority for enterprise registration; or
• The provincial-level Business Registration Authority.

Information provision in this case is subject to fees and charges as prescribed by law.

3. Publication of enterprise registration contents

Under Clause 1 of Article 33 of the Law on Enterprises 2020, the contents of the Certificate of Enterprise Registration and the operating status of enterprises must be published on the National Enterprise Registration Portal.
