The policy of reducing electricity prices and electricity bills for electricity users (including warehouses of logistics enterprises) was a one-time policy in 2021 (round 5, under Resolution No. 97/NQ-CP of 28 August 2021 of the Government) and ended long ago. At present, logistics warehouses pay electricity bills under the current retail electricity tariffs for business, and no longer benefit from any separate Government price-reduction policy.

How did the 2021 electricity price reduction policy apply?
To avoid misunderstanding, the context should be understood: in 2021, to support enterprises in responding to COVID-19 (Resolution No. 105/NQ-CP), the Government issued Resolution No. 97/NQ-CP on the plan to support round-5 electricity bill and price reductions for electricity users, including logistics enterprises using electricity for warehouses. This was a one-time, time-limited support policy in 2021, not a regular policy, and it has ended.

What electricity price do logistics warehouses currently pay?
At present, electricity bills for warehouses are calculated under the retail electricity tariffs for business in the Appendix promulgated together with Decision No. 1279/QĐ-BCT of 2025, differentiated by voltage level and time-of-use (normal hours, off-peak hours, peak hours), on the basis of the average retail electricity price of VND 2,204.0655/kWh (excluding VAT). Enterprises should cross-check their power purchase agreements and the actual voltage level of their warehouses to determine the correct applicable price.
